Play handheld or connect to a TV
Use the D-Pad and A, B, X and Y action buttons to play directly on the console. For TV play, the console outputs picture and sound through its AV connection. When connected to a TV, the handheld screen turns off while the game displays on the TV.
Compatibility and setup
For TVs with HDMI input, an AV-to-HDMI adapter, HDMI cable and USB power source for the adapter are required. The HDMI cable is not supplied. Older TVs with yellow, red and white AV inputs can connect through the AV cable.
