Rich, savoury and unexpectedly moreish — this is eggplant like you've never had it before. Made in Ukraine by the legendary Nizhyn brand, this traditional jar of Baklazhany z Chornoslyvom (Eggplant with Prunes) blends slow-cooked eggplants, stewed tomatoes, sweet onions, and soft prunes for that signature sweet-and-sour flavour loved across Ukraine and Eastern Europe. It’s a classic Slavic zakuska with a twist — deep, rich, smoky, slightly tangy, and naturally sweet thanks to the prunes. Whether you're layering it on dark rye bread, serving it alongside meats, or enjoying it straight from the fridge, this is a ready-to-eat veggie appetiser that feels right at home on any Ukrainian family table.
